Surprise Proposal | Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah

Hi! Sydney here 👋 one half of our photography team. I’d first like to start by saying that Kayla and Thomas are the most wonderful people, and it was an honor to capture this moment for them. It truly means the world to us when we can be a part of someone’s love story and we are just so grateful for any opportunity to do so. 

Thomas reached out to us about capturing his proposal to Kayla. We brainstormed on a location and then used a very sly excuse to get Kayla to the proposal location. We had done a photoshoot previously with K & T, I message Kayla about modeling for us for a photoshoot. This is the perfect excuse because 1. Kayla had no idea the real reason she was there and 2. She is all dressed up and her nails are done for the photoshoot. 

We started the photoshoot, put on the song that Thomas requested, set up to do a wide shot to give them some privacy, and it was show time. Kayla was SO surprised, which we heard afterward is a hard thing to pull off so props to Thomas! 🙌 

Then we continued the shoot with the amazing ring and captured those “I JUST SAID YES” emotions. These two are just the cutest people in the world and we are so happy to have been able to capture this moment for them! Congratulations again to you two!! 💛💛
